Yes, Chiron is still there in the background but the Uranian influence brings in impulsiveness and a tendency to leap from the frying pan into the fire. Our actions can lead to unexpected consequences so it’s important that we don’t just react, leaping to defence or offence, before assessing the situation we find ourselves in and figuring out a strategy. This is also an accident-prone aspect, most often because we’re moving too fast to pay attention to where we’re going or what we’re doing. Much as it might irritate us, deliberately moving a little slower, especially if we’re frustrated or angry, will help to mitigate this energy. Given that Mars is in Uranus-ruled Aquarius, this aspect animates and possibly exacerbates a desire to live life on one’s own terms. Liberation from the ties that bind isn’t necessarily a problem, but this aspect can manifest as wilful rebelliousness which can alienate friends and allies. Working on the high side, Mars square Uranus gives us quick reactions and the ability to speedily navigate unpredictable elements, the courage to try something new and a desire to fight for groups who cannot fight for themselves.
